Massive participation in the II National Popular Consultation 2025 in the state of La Guaira

Within the framework of the Second National Popular Consultation 2025, the state of La Guaira has become an example of organization and citizen commitment.

Douglas Ruiz, representative of the Ezequiel Zamora commune, which comprises 18 communal councils, highlighted the importance of this democratic event organized by President Nicolás Maduro.

“Only the people save the people under the organization of popular power. Today we are colleagues from the community meeting in assembly, planning our concrete agendas in action and our dream maps, attached to the seven transformations. It should be noted that we are a truly organized commune and we actively participate,” said Ruiz.

In this regard, he highlighted that election day has had massive participation, with citizens forming long lines at the voting centers to exercise their right to vote.

According to Ruiz, this consultation represents a unique opportunity to resolve community problems, despite the adversities and sanctions they have faced. “Only with our organization will we provide answers to our territory and our needs, under unity and organization,” he added.

The Second National Popular Consultation 2025, which is being held across the country, allows Venezuelans to vote for priority community projects. With more than 5,718 voting centers and 7,048 active polling stations, the event reflects the commitment of the Venezuelan people to participatory and proactive democracy. In this consultation, more than 36,312 projects focused on areas such as social transformation, ecosocialism, citizen security and defense have been proposed.
