Mayor Carmen Meléndez activated five new Community Brigades on January 23

The mayor of Caracas, Carmen Meléndez, reported that she activated five new communal brigades in the 23 de Enero parish, which “join the Venezuela Renace Plan and that we equip with their respective trimotorcycles and supplies.”

The restoration work impacts more than 15,000 families in the Sierra Maestra, Fe Socialista, Comandante Hugo Chávez, 13 de Abril Chávez Pueblo Rebelde and Revolutionary Independence communes, in order to restore homes affected by earthquakes.

In this regard, Meléndez added that five well-equipped trimotorcycles were delivered, where five more communes were activated with these brigades.

He stated that the priority given to the brigades is the rehabilitation of schools that are in the communes.

“These communes have already been assigned the reconstructions they will carry out in the territories, thus adding to the initiative of our president Delcy Rodríguez, who activated the first communal brigades here in the parish of January 23,” he said.

He also noted that they are deployed in all educational institutions in Caracas, with their reconstruction for the return to school on September 14.

“We will have 100% by January 23 with their well-equipped communes,” he said.
