Mayor Carmen Meléndez: “Andrés Miranda” Sports Complex benefits more than 3,000 children and young people

The mayor of Caracas, Carmen Meléndez, together with the head of Government of Caracas, Nahúm Fernández, announced to the People of Venezuela the works carried out at the “Andrés Miranda” Sports Complex, located in the Coche parish, which will be a space for the healthy enjoyment and recreation of the inhabitants of the surrounding communities.
The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, inaugurated the work, via satellite, together with Meléndez and Fernández, and thanked the Corporation “Together Everything Is Possible”, who through OBRATÓN 2025 brought joy to the country's popular sectors, reactivating different spaces that guarantee the good life of Venezuelans and Venezuelans.
Meléndez said that “on behalf of the people of Caracas, of the parents and representatives of all these children who live, of the coaches who are present here and so happy that they now have decent fields for our children to practice, we thank them. Together with Everything Is Possible, we will continue to deliver works throughout Venezuela and especially here in Caracas.”
He specified that more than 3,000 boys, girls and young people occupy these spaces and when referring to the restorations, he mentioned the total intervention of the soccer field; the rehabilitation and asphalting of the athletic track; the recovery of walls and lockers area; of the showers and changing rooms for players; the installation of a metal structure, roof made of architectural sheets and new chairs in stands.
It also included the recovery of the children's baseball field area; construction of a reservoir and play area in the dogout; renovation of the entire structure of the stands; the construction of the writing room; renovation of the swimming room; restoration of the June baseball field; and the construction of the annotation room, among other minor repairs.
