The mayor of Caracas, Carmen Meléndez accompanied the inauguration of a park for neurodivergence, located in the La Rinconada sector, which includes an area for children and adolescents with motor disabilities, with spaces designed for people in wheelchairs and a neurodivergent area with recreational materials.

In his account on the social network Instagram, he specified that this is the “first Park for Neurodivergence and Functional Diversity in Caracas is in La Rinconada, and we inaugurated it this Tuesday #27Ene”.

“In the spaces of Hugo Chávez Park, in the Coche parish, this special and wonderful place now works, designed with friendly and safe elements, such as swings for boys, girls and young people in wheelchairs,” he said.

Meléndez also said that in the neurodivergent area, families have special materials and play spaces that allow children to participate and enjoy in a healthy and quiet way.

“Congratulations to the Hugo Chávez Park Foundation team from @alcaldiadeccs, which celebrates 12 years of work for recreation and healthy recreation, and who will now protect this totally innovative space,” he said.
