Mayor Carmen Meléndez: No one will break us

The mayor of Caracas, Carmen Meléndez, rejected the negative matrices that have formed around Venezuelan migration.

During his speech at the march in support of migrants, he indicated that this matrix is the product of right-wing figures, while reaffirming that President Nicolás Maduro, “is doing everything to protect our people, we have come forward and we have seen it, our President says, we have always resisted with our own efforts”.

He also reiterated the support that the people have given to the actions taken by the State to defend the rights of Venezuelans.

Finally, he highlighted the strength and resistance of the Venezuelan people, “we carry the blood of” Our original peoples, of our Liberators; a people with a lot of conscience that we will continue to resist, or no one will bend us.
