Mayor of Caracas: We are going to show the empire that Venezuela is respected

The mayor of the
Libertador municipality, Carmen Meléndez, led the departure of the march in support of President
Nicolás Maduro, from Zona Rental, where she reiterated the commitment of the Venezuelan
people to the defense of the Homeland.
During his speech, he highlighted the
presence of the
Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) in communities in civic-military unions,
while reiterating the people's commitment to peace.
“Today that the country calls us, we have to
be willing to do anything, they are not going to stop, production or
services are not going to stop, but we are clear that if we must move on to armed struggle, we all need to know
what his mission is and what role we are going to play,” he said.
He also stressed that this Tuesday's mobilization is a demonstration for the “empire that the people of Venezuela respect each other, that the women of Venezuela respect each other, that we don't want ridicule.”
