Mega-day of solid waste collection is being deployed in Ocumare de la Costa de Oro

The governor of the state of Aragua, Joana Sánchez, together with Mayor Wilmer Leal, held a mega-day of sanitation and solid waste collection in the Ocumare municipality of the Gold Coast, with the objective of optimizing public services and keeping spaces clean for the well-being of the population and the promotion of tourism.

This sanitation operation comprehensively covered several strategic points in the municipality, including Cuyagua, Cata, El Playón, La Trilla, Aponte and Cumboto. During the work, intensive waste collection and disposal were carried out to ensure an adequate environment for both local communities and visitors.

The initiative was implemented as a work plan directly articulated hand in hand with the National Government, allowing the integration of institutional efforts to meet environmental sanitation requirements in a timely and effective manner throughout the entity's coastal strip.

Mayor Wilmer Leal expressed his gratitude to the Regional Government headed by Governor Joana Sánchez, stressing that this joint effort provides priority and constant attention to the residential, commercial and tourist areas of the municipality, guaranteeing clean and decent spaces for all sectors of the jurisdiction.

The deployment included the active and coordinated participation of institutions such as Fundaragua, Costas de Aragua, Vías de Aragua and the maintenance crews of the mayor's office, whose teams deployed machinery and technical personnel to consolidate the success of the day.
