The Venezuelan duo formed by César Castillo and Raimundo Medina was crowned champion of the South American Table Tennis Championship after winning the gold medal against the Argentine delegation, which was defeated 3-1.
“Our male duo has made history! They have been crowned South American Champions after an exciting victory over Argentina,” said the Venezuelan Table Tennis Federation through its account on the social network Instagram,
They also extended their congratulations to the men's duo for “this triumph that fills the whole country with joy and emotion”.
In that championship that took place in the city of Lima, capital of Peru, the men's duo also made history for the country, since their triumph marks the first gold medal for Venezuela in the regional tournament.
