Men's under-18 softball team qualifies for the World Cup and will compete for bronze

The under-18 men's national softball team secured its place in the 2027 World Cup and will compete for the bronze medal in the Pan-American Championship held in Bahía Blanca, Argentina. The team advanced to the decisive stage despite losing eight races by five to Canada in their last qualifying match.
First baseman Derek Quiroz excelled with the wood when he hit 3-1, a home run, three RBIs and one scored. Also noteworthy were Estibenzon Ramos, as an emerging hitter, and third baseman Juan Díaz, who each provided one chartered line.
On the mound, reliever Isaac Zabala took the defeat after throwing 3.1 innings, allowing six hits, five scores, two of them dirty, giving a walk and striking out two rivals. His ERA was 4.20.
