This Wednesday, January 07, the president of the People's Electoral
Movement (MEP) party, Gilberto Giménez, warned that the
aggression of the United States (USA) against Venezuela sets a
dangerous precedent in the international arena.
“The United States imposes the use of force to take over
countries, we are returning to the jungle era, where the strongest prevails,
this is a very dangerous precedent, it is a very dangerous precedent for the international
scene,” he warned during his interview on the program Coffee in the Morning.
He also denounced that Donald Trump presented the kidnapping of
President Nicolás Maduro as a kind of trophy and threat to governments that
do not align with his interests.
On the other hand, he stressed that there has been a strong reaction on the part of the international community after the criminal attacks perpetrated
by the US administration against
Venezuela.
In addition, he explained that regardless of the
political position, the reality is that the attacks of January 3 represent a
violation of international law. At the same time, he added that it is shameful
that some Venezuelans celebrate such actions.
He pointed out that in the face of these aggressions, the People will remain united and mobilized. “We cannot leave the street,” he emphasized, stressing that Venezuelans will continue to raise their voices to demand the return of President Maduro and his wife Cilia Flores.
