MEP joins the call for the conscious use of electrical energy

The president of the People's Electoral Movement Party (MEP), Gilberto Giménez, reaffirmed his support for the call made by the president in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, for the Venezuelan people to become aware of the rational use of electrical energy and the care of a resource that is finite, such as water.

During a statement at a press conference, he said that the capitalist system threatens natural resources and considerably affects the world's climate.

“Nowadays (the capitalist system) has exhausted different resources and has altered the climate in the world,” he said, reaffirming the call for the conscious use of energy resources.

These statements come after the announcements made by the national president about the climatic effects that Venezuela will suffer in the coming days due to the natural phenomenon El Niño.

Faced with this situation, he requested the execution of plans for fire prevention, mitigation, monitoring of reservoirs, preservation of water basins and conscious use of electrical energy.
