MÉRIDA — ALBERTO ADRIANI/Nicolás Maduro: I am a Christian, a leftist, a Bolivarian and more than ever a Chavista!

In a massive rally in the Alberto Adriani municipality of the state of Mérida, this Monday, the candidate of the Great Patriotic Pole Simon Bolivar (GPPSB), Nicolás Maduro, highlighted his left-wing background and as a Christian, to be the leader he is today.

“From a very young age I became a Christian. My father taught me the ideas of socialism, of progressivism, of equality between human beings and I became a young man and a man of the left, because to be on the left is to want the equality of peoples, justice, ” he said.

He pointed out that he later had another father and teacher who was Commander Hugo Chávez. “I was trained in the ideas of Bolívar, in the ideas of Simón Rodríguez, in the ideas of Ezequiel Zamora (...) So my training has been like yours. I am a Christian man, of the left, progressive, Bolivarian and more than ever Chavista, Socialist,” he emphasized.
