Mérida sends 19.2 tons of coffee to Belgium and exceeds 540 tons exported

Businessmen and coffee farmers in the state of Mérida announced the
release of 19.2 tons of coffee to the Kingdom of Belgium. With this
shipment, the Andean entity reached the figure of 540 tons of grain
placed on the international market during the last year and recent months.
The information was released by Governor Arnaldo
Sánchez, from the facilities of the company Triangulo del Mocotí, located
in the municipality of Sucre. From that point, the shipment of 19,200 kilos
of coffee started, which will complete a journey of approximately 8,200 kilometers
to its final destination.
During an accompanying visit, the regional president confirmed the
firm's final preparations. The tasks were
coordinated by the dry port area managed by the Main Customs Office of Mérida.
Sánchez highlighted that, up to the year 2026, the entity managed
to export a total of 23 maritime containers with 100% Merida production.
He also assured that the government's economic area team will maintain
technical and logistical support to local producers to ensure both the
supply of the domestic market and the flow to other countries.
For her part, the
government's Secretary of Industry and Commerce, Yirley Acevedo, highlighted the institutional support offered by the
state through the Single Exporter Information Box, designed
to streamline customs procedures from the region.
