Mérida will host the LAGO Venezuela 2026 Meeting on Cosmic Rays and Astroparticles

The Francisco J. Duarte Astronomy and Applied Technologies Research Center Foundation (CIDATA), attached to the Ministry of Popular Power for Science and Technology (MINCYT), will hold the LAGO Venezuela Meeting, Mérida 2026 Edition, with the objective of strengthening the development of astroparticle physics and the study of cosmic rays in the country,.

This event will take place in the auditorium of the Foundation for the Development of Science and Technology (Fundacite Mérida), the National Astronomical Observatory (OAN) and the Faculty of Science of the University of Los Andes (ULA), from August 4 to 11 of this year.

The scientific-academic conference is linked to the international collaboration of the Latin American Observatory for Particle Detectors (LAGO), the MPPCYT explained.
