In Mexico City, thousands of people demonstrated to demand the release of President Nicolás Maduro and First Lady Cilia Flores, who were kidnapped by U.S. forces during the January 3 bombing of Caracas.
The demonstration, organized by the Inter-University and Popular Assembly for Palestine, started with the Angel of Independence and reached the Chamber in Juárez, where the participants expressed their rejection of the military action ordered by the Donald Trump administration.
During the demonstration, the participants expressed their support for the Venezuelan people and denounced foreign intervention. Mexican and Venezuelan flags were flown, as well as banners with messages against the Monroe doctrine, Telesur reported.
With this mobilization, Mexico joined the cities where citizens took to the streets to reject the military operation that caused civilian and military victims in Venezuelan territory.
