This Monday, the President of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum, reiterated that her Government will send a representative to the inauguration of the President of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, which will take place next Friday, January 10.
During his regular morning press conference at the National Palace, Sheinbaum reiterated the principle of self-determination of Peoples enshrined in the Mexican Constitution.
The president stressed that it is exclusively up to Venezuelans to define the destiny of their nation because of “the position that is in the Constitution with all the governments of the world. The Self-Determination of Peoples.”
Sheinbaum's announcement coincides with attempts at destabilization in Venezuela led by former presidential candidate Edmundo González Urrutia, who did not accept the results of the elections of last August 28.
