Mexico is respected! President AMLO spoke out about the assault on the embassy in Ecuador

This Tuesday, President Andrés Manuel López Obrador said that Mexico is an independent, free and sovereign country, “we are no one's colony. I also say this because of the aggression against our sovereignty in Ecuador.”

The president confirmed that the country will go to the International Court of Justice (ICJ) to denounce the search of the Mexican embassy in that nation because “Mexico is respected.”

In his traditional press conference, known as “La Mañanera”, the Mexican president said that is not done by a Government (taking the embassy by storm) that “does not feel that it has the support of other governments or powers. That's why we're taking this matter to the ICJ.”

The head of state stated that the Government of Ecuador felt “the support of other governments or powers” to search last Friday the Mexican embassy in Quito, where former Vice President Jorge Glas was located, who was kidnapped by the police in an extensive operation.
