In the Sotillo municipality of Anzoátegui state, the Peasant Militia was deployed in the Rostro de Bolívar Commune, Santa Elena sector, which was headed by Mayor Jesús Marcano Tábata.
The activity, reported by Venezolana de Televisión, was carried out in accordance with the call of the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, to strengthen the nation's comprehensive defense against external threats.
The day brought together producers and militiamen organized around the protection of the territory and the promotion of national production. The meeting took place in an environment of collective commitment, where the willingness of the population to participate actively in the defense of sovereignty was reaffirmed.
The deployment is an initiative convened by the Executive in response to military maneuvers and political pressure from Washington. In this context, the importance of consolidating the capacity of popular organization in the face of scenarios of aggression was emphasized.
During the event, Mayor Marcano highlighted the need to maintain unity and revolutionary consciousness as pillars of resistance. The presence of community spokespersons and grassroots militiamen evidenced the coordination between local institutions and organized communities to guarantee technical and logistical support to producers.
The activity reaffirmed the civic-military-police-popular union as a central element of the Communal State and showed the willingness of the Sotillo municipality to join the nation's comprehensive defense plan.
From Santa Elena, the combination of agricultural production and militia organization is being planned as a strategy to preserve the country's independence and security.
