MINAGUAS achieved the rehabilitation of the Barlovento and Carabobo systems in Yaracuy state

The Ministry of the Popular Power of Water (MINAGUAS), achieved the rehabilitation of the Barlovento and Carabobo systems in the state of Yaracuy, providing direct care to a total of 1,898 families in the Bolívar municipality, who will now have an optimized drinking water service.

The intervention was carried out jointly by the Multidisciplinary Water Team, the local Mayor's Office and the People's Power.

In the Barlovento aqueduct, 1,500 meters of 4-inch diameter HDPE pipe were installed, whose water work generates a flow of 14 liters per second. Distributing drinking water from the 50,000 liter desander tank to the Barlovento and La Vaca sectors, serving 1,300 families, belonging to the Minas de Aroa Socialist Productive Commune. ‎

On the other hand, in the Carabobo aqueduct, 168 meters of 6-inch diameter pipe were installed, which is connected to the 150,000 liter storage tank, with a flow of 80 liters per second, serving 598 families from 7 sectors of the Cierra Azul Socialist Commune.

The head of UBCH, Yelitza García, explained that the intervention is part of the immediate response of the Bolivarian Government, following the damage to the aqueducts caused by the increase in the water level in the river through the intense rainfall that settled last July in the region, as reported by Prensa MINAGUAS. ‎

“Thanks to the coordinated effort of the government body, this water project was rehabilitated, restoring drinking water service to the inhabitants; these actions are a reflection of the commitment of the Bolivarian Government to collective well-being,” he said.
