The Ministry of Popular Power for Culture reported that the applications for the VI Biennial of the South “Peoples in Resistance”. The Power of Diversity” will be open until June 30 of this year 2025.

The works selected for this international event will be exhibited starting October 3, 2025, within the framework of the national project “The 7 Lines of Transformation 7T: Full Independence, Culture, Education, Science and Technology”.

This event is linked to the emerging BRICS+ economy, which includes countries such as China, Russia, India, Brazil and South Africa, among others.

Below are the conditions of participation:

  • Proposals can be submitted by individual or collective visual artists.
  • Visual artists who are members of the BRICS and their allied countries will be considered special guests, selected by the Curatorial Committee.
  • National and international artists may participate with projects that are part of the concept of this 6th edition: “The Power of Diversity: (Imaginary, Territory and Body)”, after selection by the curatorial committee.
  • Works or projects conceived in the last two (2) years that have not been exhibited at other national or international exhibition events will be accepted.
  • Each visual artist can participate with only one proposal or project.
  • The appropriation of projects will be carried out using a registration form and appropriation formats provided by the Biennial.
  • The registration form can be downloaded through a QR code that will be released through the biennial's digital platforms.
  • The registration form must be sent to the email: [email protected] within the stipulated time.

The VI Biennial of the South Peoples in Resistance is consolidated as a space for encounter, dialogue and reflection on the visual arts, promoting cultural diversity and artistic exchange at an international level.
