Students from the Lomas Bajas State Basic School, located in the Hoyo de la Puerta sector, visited the facilities of the Cacique Baruta Mega Center for Educational Robotics, in Miranda state, according to a press release from the Ministry of Science and Technology (MINCYT).
The facilitators of the Infocentro Foundation, Joseph Durán, Anthony Quintana, Andreína Presilla and Cristian Lara, applied a methodology structured in progressive phases that allowed students to move from theory to practice in a fluid and didactic way.
During the initial stage, the participants received an induction workshop where they assimilated the fundamental concepts of robotics and logical thinking. Then, the enthusiasm of the boys and girls was transferred to the work tables for the assembly of advanced prototypes, using the Ultimate 2.0 technological kit, which offers multiple possibilities for mechanical and electronic configuration.
On this day, young people understood that robotics transcends the simple union of metal parts, sensors and cables, to give way to assisted programming. Using the Scratch block language, students defined behaviors and executed specific commands in their prototypes, strengthening their skills in STEAM areas.
