MINCYT signed an agreement with Iranian company for the production of medical equipment

The Ministry of People's Power for Science and Technology (MINCYT), through the Corporation for Scientific and Technological Development (CODECYT), signed an agreement with the Iranian company MDA Medical Solutions, in order to strengthen health sovereignty in the country, through the manufacture of medical equipment.

Through her Telegram account, the Minister of People's Power for Science and Technology, Gabriela Jiménez, stressed that this alliance is part of the agreements established at the X Meeting of the Iran-Venezuela High Level Joint Commission.

This action will allow the activation of production lines for medical equipment and devices, managing to share resources, knowledge, capacities and reduce costs, opening up “new markets, both nationally and regionally, with efficient and competitive production, generating technological solutions”.

Jiménez explained that in the first phase, four production lines will be established for electroshock, electrocardiogram, monitors and ventilators, generating great contributions to the national health industry for the benefit of the people.

“Through CODECYT, we will participate in a permanent dynamic of strategies and initiatives focused on the national and regional markets,” he stressed.

Among the advantages and benefits of this alliance with our Iranian brothers, we have the strengthening of health and technological sovereignty, the transfer of technology, training of Venezuelan personnel, in addition to strategic positioning.
