MINCYT trained 70 students in robotics and computer science

Within the framework of the National Scientific Seedbeds Program, promoted by the Ministry of Science and Technology (MINCYT), the Foundation for the Development of Science and Technology (Fundacite Nueva Esparta) completed the second week of the 2026 Science and Technology Vacation Plan, focused on the areas of Educational Robotics and Computer Science.

The activity, according to a press release, took place at the headquarters of Fundacite Nueva Esparta, located in Porlamar, Mariño municipality, with the participation of 70 boys, girls and young people from the island entity.

During the Educational Robotics module, students addressed electronic, mechanical and programming content. The facilitators explained the operation of electronic sensors, aimed at collecting data from the environment and executing applied logical instructions.

In addition, in the area of Computer Science, attendees studied the basic components of hardware and software, the principles of logical thinking and the operational function of peripherals in digital systems.
