The Ministry of Popular Power for Ecosocialism, together with the Civil Protection authorities, developed a set of guidelines to ensure the well-being of citizens during religious and recreational activities this season.
The country has unusually high temperatures, which requires rigorous planning to avoid heat stroke and dehydration.
It is recommended that those attending processions and temples wear light-colored clothing, made with natural fibers that allow organic perspiration and body cooling, as well as the constant consumption of natural water.
Caring for local ecosystems is vital during visits to rivers, beaches and natural monuments in this vacation. Extreme heat increases the risk of forest fires, so the use of campfires and the improper disposal of cigarette butts or glass containers are strictly prohibited.
The preservation of natural shade and respect for green areas contribute to maintaining cooler microclimates that benefit all visitors during their leisure time.
Ecosocialism authorities urge seasonal workers to collect their own waste and move it to authorized collection points to avoid contamination of soils and water sources, according to the press release of the Ministry of People's Power for Ecosocialism.
Planning shaded routes not only enhances the spiritual experience, but it also highlights the importance of trees as thermal regulators in our cities.
The use of biodegradable sunscreens represents an ecological alternative to care for the skin without affecting water quality in coastal areas. Citizens should keep an eye out for signs of heat exhaustion and go to emergency posts immediately for any symptoms of dizziness or weakness. Prevention and environmental awareness allow Holy Week holidays to take place in harmony with nature and with the protection of the physical integrity of the entire population.
