MINEC signed an agreement for the rehabilitation of the Palmito Processing Plant in Delta Amacuro

The Ministry of Popular Power for Ecosocialism (MINEC), the National Forestry Company (ENAFOR) and the Blue Ocean Delta C.A. Mercantile Company signed an agreement for the activation, adaptation and rehabilitation of the Palm Palm Processing Plant, located in the Delta Amacuro state.

The Minister for Ecosocialism, Ricardo Molina, indicated that they expect the plant to resume operations in 60 days, with an initial production of 400 boxes per day, according to a MINEC press release.

“The best heart of palm in the world is produced in Curiapo. The community works together with honest businessmen and with the support of the state government, led by Governor Loa Tamaronis, and under the guidance of President Nicolás Maduro. I am convinced that this project has no loss,” he said.

For her part, the governor of Delta Amacuro, Loa Tamaronis, indicated that this action benefits the indigenous people, who are already committed. “We celebrate this victory as a firm step towards our development,” he said.
