MINEC will hold a seminar on communication for environmental awareness

The Ministry of
Popular Power for Ecosocialism (MINEC) announced the holding of the seminar
“Communication for Environmental Awareness”, an initiative aimed at
transforming narratives about the natural environment and strengthening
academic training in the area.
The
program, developed together with the Environmental Education Foundation (FUNDAMBIENTE),
the Popular University of the Environment Fruto Vivas and the Center for the Study of
Communication and Free Technologies of the Bolivarian University of
Venezuela, seeks to provide professionals with tools for the analysis of
issues such as forest management, water cycle, climate crisis and biodiversity.
According to a preliminary report, 734 people are already registered
to participate in the seminar, whose call was recently published.
Participation is open to journalists, researchers, teachers, content creators
and the general public interested in expanding their knowledge in environmental
matters.
The conference will begin on Tuesday, May 5 and will take place online, with a duration of 12 academic hours distributed in
four sessions on May 5, 12, 19 and 26, between 2:00 p.m. and 5:00
p.m. In addition, the content will address eight topics, including environmental narrative
in the 21st century, legal framework, management of national parks,
water resources, climate change, biodiversity, waste management and ecological ethics.
At the end of the program, participants will receive a certificate endorsed by the convening institutions; for those interested, registrations are available through an online form on the MINEC website.
