Minister of Popular Power for Women and Gender Equality, Dheliz Álvarez, stressed, this Friday, that thanks to the Bolivarian Revolution and Commander Hugo Chávez, the role of women was vindicated and today many can raise their voices.

“It was with the Bolivarian Revolution and after Commander Hugo Chávez that the opportunity was given for women to raise their voices and materialize their dreams, dreams that were historic struggles of those who came before us,” Álvarez said from the Bolivar Theater, where the “Tell Me Woman” Conversation took place.

He also stressed that it was Commander Chávez who rescued the history of many of the heroines of the Fatherland, so that they would never be silenced and invisible. “Past history is nothing more than the past, because the present of Bolivarian women is what builds day by day,” he said.

In that regard, she indicated that Venezuelan women continue the battle from their workspaces and productive development. “Bolivarian women don't give up from their trenches. Here are the women pioneers of Journalism for Truth,” she said.

He pointed out that “Venezuela has been growing because of the efforts of each of its men and women, but more because of you women of communication, who fought and defeated the blockade.”
