Minister Ángel Prado: Citizens' Assembly decides projects for National Consultation

The Minister of Popular Power for Communes and Social Movements, Ángel Prado, indicated that the Projects that are carried out to the National Popular Consultation 2024 are decided through the meetings of citizens in each community.

“It is done with legitimacy, because it passes through an assembly of People's Power, it is discussed, it is part of the development plan of the communal council or the commune, the idea of a single person or leader is not imposed, it is an assembly of citizens and citizens who debate and prioritize, even where elections are held and voted, then the resource is obtained and works with love, efficiency and effectiveness,” Prado explained during the program “A Pulso” broadcast by Venezolana de Televisión (VTV).

He highlighted that the National Popular Consultations that took place in April have already completed almost 1,700 projects, while 2,564 projects are under execution.

He stressed that for the next consultation on August 25, Minister Prado commented that there have been about seven thousand meetings in communal councils and almost 600 in communal circuits.”
