The Minister of Popular Power for Sports, Arnaldo Sánchez, highlighted this Tuesday that his office will advance in the task of looking for future athletes in the Community Games and School Games that are being held in Venezuela.

“We are committed to identifying these future athletes, which is where our Queen of Jumping, Yulimar Rojas, came from, as well as the winner in Tokyo, Julio Mayora, among others,” Sánchez said in an interview with La Iguana TV.

With reference to the participation of the Venezuelan delegation in the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, he predicted that more medals will be won, highlighting the potential of parathletes to continue in the sum of medals, with training since 2015, and some with experience in the Tokyo Paralympics.

“We have 25 qualified athletes, six of them have participated, who have finished their competitions, the potential medal winners, Lisbeli Vera, who returns to participate in the 100 and 200 meters, a prepared medalist athlete,” said Sánchez.
