The Minister of People's Power for the Penitentiary Service, VA Celsa Bautista Ontiveros, announced the deployment of a multidisciplinary team from this office in order to carry out a judicial approach in prisons in the state of Miranda.
This operation involves the integration of the officials of the Criminal Judicial Circuit of the Mirandina entity, together with the Public Defense, Public Prosecutor's Office, citizen security bodies, deputies of the National Assembly's Internal Policy Committee and prison officials, with the purpose of benefiting prisoners in the region with the corresponding law.
In addition, Minister Celsa Bautista explained that she activated four telematics rooms for psychosocial evaluations for the entire prison population that requires it, belonging to the Rodeo II, Rodeo III, Yare II and Yare III prisons.
This operation emerges as a response to the need to guarantee access to justice and fundamental rights for persons deprived of their liberty in the state of Miranda.
Bautista stressed that these legal and comprehensive approaches make it possible to continue programs to improve the living conditions of the prison population and contribute to the construction of a more just and equitable society.
