Diosdado Cabello, Minister for Internal Relations, Justice and Peace, described as a “moralizing wave” the increase in demand for new income at the National Experimental Security University (UNES).

From the Urimare parish in the state of La Guaira, where he led the inauguration ceremony of the Police Coordination Center of the Bolivarian National Police (PNB), the also sectoral vice-president of Politics, Citizen Security and Peace specified that the number of requests for admission reached 32,000 young people.

“Today, the application for this semester of UNES is 32,000 young people (...) and there are students who are applying to be guardians in the prison system... it's a molarizing wave,” he said and recalled that this increase in the number of applications for admission is due to the incorporation of Community Councils and Communes in the application process of applicants.

“It is the Community Councils that are promoting young people,” he pointed out and stressed that as part of the actions to continue strengthening the training of officials of the country's police forces, the National Academy of the PNB was inaugurated.

“That's where graduates come from as Graduates in Police Sciences and Arts,” he said.
