Minister Cabello: In the last 5 weeks there was only one homicide recorded in Caracas

After highlighting the importance of the Popular-Military-Police Fusion as the effective tool for combating crime and defending peace, the sectoral vice-president for Politics, Citizen Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello, highlighted the achievement of the policy promoted by the Bolivarian Government to reduce crime rates throughout the national territory.

“Before on a weekend in Caracas, there were 40 deaths, a relieved weekend, because there are headlines of 120 deaths on a weekend, but now here in Caracas fortunately peace and in the last 5 weekends there was only the murder of one person inside a house,” he said.

The Minister for Internal Relations, Justice and Peace also stated that these achievements have had as their best ally the People who managed to impose their conscience, solidarity and brotherhood against those who sowed violence and crime in neighborhoods and cities.

“The best ally of the police forces is the Venezuelan who has a conscience, it is the people who are supportive, who are friends, who do not want their children to suffer any harm,” he said while noting that the goal for 2026 is zero homicide throughout the national territory.

“We have to go to zero homicides,” he said.
