Minister Cabello: We are still working to expand health care network for police forces across the country

He highlighted the reception he received among Venezuelan doctors for being part of this effort.

During the delivery of the “Apascacio Mata” Comprehensive Health Care Center for Police Forces, in the city of Caracas, the Minister for Internal Relations, Justice and Peace, Diosdado Cabello, noted that they are still working to expand the number of health units allocated to police officers.

He recalled that this center, which has all the care services on 17 floors, is in addition to those provided in the states of Anzoátegui, Monagas, Carabobo and Trujillo “and we have been expanding to try to have them in different regions of the country so that people don't have to travel so far away.”

He highlighted the reception he received among Venezuelan doctors for being part of this effort. “When we started looking for medical people, we were surprised at the number of colleagues who were willing to come to work,” he said.

The also Sectorial Vice President of Policy, Public Security and Peace pointed out that the facilities, spaces and equipment of this center inaugurated in the capital, “can be a center for postgraduate education and specialization.”
