The sectoral vice-president of Politics, Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello Rondón, highlighted that Venezuela exceeds 70% of the confiscation of everything (drugs) that they try to pass through the country.

“We should be around 70 and 80% of the confiscation of what they are trying to pass through Venezuela,” said Cabello Rondón, during a press conference.

In that regard, he reiterated that in the United Nations (UN) report on drug trafficking routes, only 5% of drugs attempt to pass through Venezuelan territory, “it's not 40% as they want you to believe.”

He pointed out that more than 15,000 men and women from the different security bodies, with the support of Pueblo, will continue to work as a team, to neutralize any shipment that they want to pass through this territory.

“Our People are a fundamental part of an organic body merged with the Bolivarian National Armed Forces and the police forces and our People are the first alert, because they are the ones who are in the territory,” he said.

He recalled that when the Catatumbo thing happened, it was the People who reported first. “There are an enormous number of people living in Colombia who are coming, because there was fighting in their territory and we deployed and installed shelter for the displaced,” he added.
