“Today we raise like a big flag that perfect popular military police fusion implemented on several occasions where our people have played a fundamental role,” said the sectoral vice-president for Politics, Public Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello Rondón, during the ceremony commemorating the victory of Operation Black First, Crushing the Enemy, over the mercenary invasion attempt called “Operation Gideon”.

During the activity carried out in Plaza Bolívar-Chávez in the state of La Guaira, the role of the fishing people who responded to the call for the defense of the Fatherland was highlighted.

“I remember that I called the fishing brothers and immediately the fishermen from all over the Caribbean coast became active and began to say someone is coming over there, over there we saw a strange boat,” he said, while stating that this information allowed us to capture all the mercenaries.

“One by one they were captured, all those who thought it was very easy, they threw part of the weapons, the communication system into the sea, and everyone had their lives respected, and we can link this to April 30 because we could have fought a battle, and we, again under the direction of President Nicolás Maduro, were spinning until we defeated them in a strategic way,” he said.
