Minister Diosdado Cabello reported that the dangerous criminal known as Wilexis has been neutralized

This Wednesday, the Sectorial Vice President for Politics, Public Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello, reported that the criminal Acevedo Monasterio Wilexis Alexander, linked to terrorist acts together with the extreme right, was neutralized.

“Through a forceful operation by the State security forces, the dangerous criminal Wilexis Acevedo Monasterios, alias' Wilexis', who for years sowed terror in the community of José Félix Ribas, in Petare, has been killed,” said Cabello .

“The murders and extortions he carried out against the inhabitants of the Sucre municipality and all of Caracas are countless,” he stressed and reported that the criminal was also engaged in drug trafficking. “When we talk about drug trafficking, we associate him with Iván Duque and Álvaro Uribe.”

Since 2017, “Wilexis” led a criminal organization comprised of more than 200 individuals, controlling various illegal activities in the area, including drug trafficking, extortion and homicide.

“It is important to remember this person's links with the extreme right, who generated acts of violence in Petare. After a long criminal career of terror, this citizen has decided to face specialized police commissions and has effectively been neutralized,” he added.

With the neutralization of “Wilexis”, the commitment of the Bolivarian Government to guarantee peace and security for all citizens is reaffirmed.

This action represents a significant step towards the recovery of public spaces and the strengthening of coexistence throughout the territory.
