Minister Ernesto Villegas names his book Maja Mía at FILVEN 2024

The Minister of Popular Power for Culture, Ernesto Villegas, presented his book entitled Maja Mía, within the framework of the International Book Fair of Venezuela 2024 (FILVEN), which is being held in the spaces of the National Art Gallery, in Caracas.

In this regard, Villegas emphasized that her work goes beyond a simple biography, and tells through the story of Maja the relevance of women in journalism and our society.

She indicated that her work explores the life and legacy of Maja, while offering a unique perspective on the role of women in history. The book delves into the challenges he faced as a journalist and how his work influenced Venezuelan society, and uses clear and direct language to convey his message, while avoiding cheesiness and drama.

During the event, which was an emotional event attended by publishers, family and friends, Villegas also shared some reflections on the importance of Maja in national journalism.

“Maja Mía is a tribute to all the women who have left their mark on communication and culture,” she said.
