The Minister of Relations and Foreign Trade, Félix
Plasencia, inspected this Sunday the temporary camp set up at the Jesús Enrique Lossada School, in
the Chapellín sector of the El Recreo parish in Caracas.
During the visit, Plasencia verified the care provided to
families affected by the earthquakes of last June 24. In addition, he highlighted
the participation of the community in supporting
sheltered people.
“The Chapellín community is very active, it is
present, it is participating, it is supporting and that shows the solidarity and
commitment of Venezuelans,” he said according to information from Venezolana de Televisión.
He indicated that the camp is part of the 107 temporary
spaces set up to serve affected families. At the same
time, he specified that it has the capacity to accommodate more than 250 people, in
addition to offering food services, medical care, accommodation and comprehensive
support.
During the day,
recreational activities and the delivery of toys were also developed for the boys and girls who remain in
the place.
On the other hand, the minister recognized the support of the
business sector for care and reconstruction efforts, noting that
national companies have joined the efforts promoted by the Executive.
He also stated that
the Bolivarian Government is making progress in a recovery plan for the
affected areas, with actions aimed both at the immediate care of
families and at the reconstruction of housing and infrastructure in the medium
and long term.
