Minister Franklin Cardillo: The Bolivarian Government has promoted a new national competitive system

The Minister of Popular Power for Sports (MPPD), Franklin Cardillo, stressed that the victories won by Venezuela in the IV South American Youth Games Panama 2026 are the product of the efforts of the Bolivarian Government to strengthen the program of care for the National Sports System.

In this regard, he argued that thanks to these measures, a new national competitive system has been promoted, whose results are beginning to shine with the emergence of a new Golden Generation that already demonstrates its talent and dedication.

The proposal was made at an event held at the Miraflores Palace, where the president in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, led the recognition of the national athletes who were at the IV South American Youth Games Panama 2026.

Cardillo also highlighted the athletes' words, because they renew the commitment and dedication with which they have worked together with the President in Charge.

He specified that of the 180 athletes in the delegation, 110 won at least one medal and it was Venezuelan women who had the greatest achievement, winning 25 of the 33 gold medals won by Venezuela.

In that scenario, he said that this result is an honor and reflects the strength, discipline and talent of this sports generation.

This result places Venezuela ahead of regional powers such as Argentina, with whom it competed intensely for second place in the medal table until the last moment.
