The Minister of Popular Power for Science and Technology, Gabriela Jiménez, referred to the text “The cognitive war in digital agony 4.0”, stating that “we live in times where the battlefield has transcended the territorial dimension to settle in our psyche”.

Giménez pointed out that currently “we are facing an implacable cognitive war that seeks mental colonization and control of our wills,” in a publication on the website of the Ministry of People's Power for Science and Technology (MINCYT).

In this regard, he highlighted the great value of reading for Venezuela at a time when the digital age encompasses all processes and, at the same time, threats against national stability are being faced.

The also sector vice-president of Science, Technology, Ecosocialism and Health highlighted the importance of these lines, “because they allow us to understand that digital transformation and artificial intelligence are not neutral, but are often part of a mechanism designed to impose a cultural reset and shape our identity.”

He also said that this reading invites us to “defend our human essence against attempts at technological domination and the imposition of a single thought. The great importance of this text lies in the fact that it is not limited to the diagnosis of this civilizational crisis, but rather calls on us to build communal communication as a way to move towards a new humanity”.

Jiménez called for promoting a healthy balance between digital and real life, “in the face of the isolation and anguish imposed by screens. It is an urgent call to weave networks of affection and conscience, understanding that true sovereignty is not only technological, but profoundly cultural and spiritual,” he said.

The sector vice-president urged each Venezuelan to take the time to enjoy this literary work promoted by the publishing house of the Ministry of Science and Technology (MINCYT).

“I fervently invite you to read, study and discuss these pages, which reflect the intellectual effort of thinkers committed to the Great Homeland. In them, they will find the necessary keys to disarm thinking and strengthen our resistance to the invisible aggressions of the digital age,” he said.
