The Minister of the People's Power of Foreign Trade, Coromoto Godoy, accompanied by the Deputy Minister of International Trade Policy and National Superintendent of Special Economic Zones, Johann Álvarez, held a cordial and fruitful meeting with Li Chenggang, Vice Minister of Commerce of the People's Republic of China, with the purpose of evaluating the progress achieved and defining new actions for strengthening bilateral trade relations.

During the meeting, both authorities highlighted the remarkable dynamism of economic ties between Caracas and Beijing. In the first half of 2025, Venezuelan exports to China registered a growth of 120% compared to the same period in 2024, consolidating non-oil trade as a new pillar of the “All Test and All Time” Strategic Partnership. Among the items with the highest demand are agricultural, fishing and light industrial products, which represent the diversification of the Venezuelan export portfolio.

Minister Godoy stressed that this growth responds to the shared vision of building fair, complementary and mutually beneficial trade. “China has established itself as one of the main destinations for our export offer, which opens up opportunities for our producers, promotes domestic industrialization and strengthens confidence in Venezuela as a reliable partner,” he said.

For his part, Deputy Minister Li Chenggang reiterated his country's willingness to expand cooperation in key areas, such as food, clean energy and industrial projects, within the framework of the Joint Development Plan promoted by Presidents Nicolás Maduro and Xi Jinping.

In a context of global tensions and the reconfiguration of supply chains, the relationship between Venezuela and China is presented as an example of friendship, resilience and vision for the future. Both governments agreed on the importance of deepening institutional coordination mechanisms and of promoting business exchange, in order to translate strategic agreements into concrete results for the well-being of their peoples.
