Minister González López commemorated the 22nd Anniversary of the Military Criminal Judicial Circuit and Court Martial

In compliance with the constitutional mandates and aimed at the moral, doctrinal and legal strengthening of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), the Minister of Popular Power for Defense, G/J Gustavo González López, led this Thursday, August 20, the commemorative ceremony for the twenty-second anniversary of the formalization of the Military Criminal Judicial Circuit and Court-Martial Court.

Accompanied by members of the Superior General Staff of the FANB, he conferred decorations and awarded bars of honor of merit to 10 outstanding professionals in the field of law and the military judiciary.

This recognition exalted their probity, transparency and unrestricted attachment to the principle of the natural judge and the guarantees of due process in the administration of justice.

During his speech, he emphasized that institutional strength lies in ethics and procedural rectitude. “Today we honor the perseverance, probity and ethics of those who defend the truth. An institution does not become great because of the anniversaries it accumulates, but because of the justice it guarantees, because of the rights it protects and because of the responsibility with which it responds to the Nation,” he said.

González López also emphasized that military jurisdiction maintains a special and restrictive nature focused exclusively on the protection of the legal assets of the armed institution.

The event concluded with a formal visit to the new spaces of the Gallery of the Former Presidents of the Court Martial, a place that honors the legacy of Venezuelan military justice and consolidates the unwavering mandate of a FANB where every cause is addressed in time, every decision is motivated and every right is fully protected in the exclusive service of the Fatherland.
