Minister Gutiérrez highlights the very high level of Venezuelan doctors after performing highly complex surgery

The Popular Minister for Health, Magaly Gutiérrez, welcomed the successful completion of a highly complex surgery: a thoracotomy with pulmonary decortication for a patient as young as three years old, at the Dr. Luis Razetti Hospital in Barinas and highlighted the very high level of expertise and commitment of Venezuelan doctors.
Through a post on his Telegram channel, Gutiérrez explained that the delicate intervention required three hours of precision and dedication, which was led by the chest surgeon, Heriberto Pérez, from the Vargas Hospital in Caracas.
“Dr. Pérez, in perfect synergy with the team of resident pediatric surgery doctors, anesthesiologists, nurses and other professionals at the Barinas hospital, demonstrated once again the very high level of expertise and commitment that characterizes our specialists,” said the minister.
He emphasized that this case not only highlights the capacity of medical personnel to face procedures of maximum complexity, but it is also evidence of the growth and consolidation of medical training in Venezuela.
