With the objective of increasing the capacity and efficiency of the electricity service in the central region of the country, this Saturday, December 27, the People's Power Minister for Electric Energy (MPPEE), Jorge Márquez, led an exhaustive inspection at the Central Plant Thermoelectric Power Plant, located in Puerto Cabello, Carabobo state.
During the day, Márquez verified the progress in the modernization and maintenance works being carried out in the operational and technical areas of this strategic complex, the MPPEE reported on its website.
“I brought them here today, December 27, so that they have a reason to be proud of. This is the product of the Technical Committees on Saturdays and the Boards of Directors on Thursdays where the resources have been approved, which have allowed us to move forward,” he said.
The minister was accompanied by the president of the National Electric Corporation (CORPOELEC), José Luis Betancourt, as well as vice-ministers, general managers, and workers in the core areas of the state power company.
Márquez toured the Thermoelectric Generation Units to verify the optimization of operating processes. Oversight also included the rehabilitation of the administrative headquarters and dining room of this important electrical installation.
“We still have a lot of work to do. I have nothing left but to thank. This is the product of your efforts and may God shower us with blessings this year 2026 to keep moving forward. We are going to do it,” he emphasized.
These actions respond to the guidelines of the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, and are framed in the National Plan for Inspections and Integral Maintenance of the National Electricity System (SEN), which seek to strengthen the stability of the system and ensure a reliable electricity supply for the entire Venezuelan people.
