This Wednesday, July 08, the sectoral vice-president of Planning, Ricardo Menéndez, led an inspection tour of the temporary camp installed in the Dr. Luis Padrino National Educational Unit, located in the San Juan parish in Caracas, to verify the operation, care and support provided to affected families.
In a review published on the Venezolana de Televisión website, Menéndez said that within the camp there is evidence of the Government's deployment to ensure the protection of affected families, who are provided with care in terms of registration and control and food, which he highlighted as guaranteed and supervised by the National Institute of Nutrition (INN).
The minister reiterated that the purpose of the Bolivarian Government is to ensure that every person affected and who requires accommodation finds an immediate response and comprehensive care in the camps.
“When you enter a camp, which has no family space, that has nowhere to stay, that is affected by the earthquake, you are going to get the State there by giving it the shelter as it is characterized in Venezuela,” he said.
For his part, the Minister of the Penitentiary Service, Julio García Zerpa, also indicated that sheltered families have been provided with support and attention in terms of physical and psychological health, as well as the special attention given to children and adolescents, as the most vulnerable population through recreational and cultural activities.
In addition, the member of the Presidential Commission for Transitional Camps, Eduardo Piñate, also participated in this day of accompaniment.
He said that the deployment of the entire national Government has been carried out with great force to serve a people that has been severely affected, so that the camps become a new beginning accompanied by the state.
