Minister Menry Fernández: FANB's 2025 production plan will increase agricultural production

The Minister for Agriculture and Lands, Menry Fernández, held a meeting with the president of the Agricultural Company of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (AGROFANB), G/D Jorge Valbuena Ferrer, who presented him with the 2025 Production Plan, with the objective of increasing agricultural production and ensuring the country's food sovereignty.

Through his Instagram account, Fernández stressed that this meeting is a decisive step towards the consolidation of food sovereignty and the strengthening of national production, through this plan with which they intend to provide a renewed approach that integrates technology and modern agricultural practices.

“It is important to highlight that it is our military who cultivate and work on this productive plan, contributing their dedication and discipline to ensure the success of this initiative. Together, we discuss strategies to strengthen our productive capacities, guarantee the supply of our communities and eradicate dependence on imported products,” he said.

He said that “agriculture is one of the foundations of our economy and, as representatives of the people, we must work tirelessly to ensure that our farmers and producers have the necessary tools to carry out this mission.”

Fernández also highlighted the importance of this initiative, which not only seeks to increase production, “but also to promote an agro-industrial model that is at the service of the people and that promotes social justice. We must move towards a system that respects and values the work of our farmers, who are the real heroes of this fight for sovereign food.”

He also added that “from this trench, I reaffirm my commitment to the development of the agricultural sector and to building a future where domestic production is synonymous with dignity and well-being for all Venezuelans.”
