The sector vice-president of
Communication, Culture and Tourism, Freddy Ñáñez, denounced how the extreme right used
the social network X to manipulate what is happening in the country after the elections
last Sunday, July 28.
“Images and videos from 2014 and
2017 have been released and are being sold as if they are from now,” Ñáñez questioned during the ninth edition of his program Cable
a Tierra, according to a Venezuelan Television (VTV) review.
In that
sense, he pointed out that imperialism and its lackeys of the extreme right insist
on carrying out a cyber coup against Venezuela.
For her
part, the journalist and also host of the program, Karen
Méndez, stated that in the face of these network attacks,
Venezuelans themselves have restored peace and tranquility, “we are the
proven majority who are in favor of a model of society, economic and
political that understands the integral development of individuals.”
In
this regard, he argued that in countries like Libya it was led to a war
through media intervention, and thanked the
Venezuelan people for their strength to prevent the same from happening in the country.
“The Venezuelan
people are patient and are always committed to peace, but there is an
extremist group that has called for an intervention and a blockade against their own country,
that they have not allowed themselves to govern with peace of mind and have
never respected the results, and it is normal for people to say that they no longer want this,” he said.
Regarding the attack suffered by the National Electoral Council (CNE) during the
process of transmitting results during the elections of 28-J, Minister
Ñáñez clarified that it is not really his own computer hack, it
was a “data saturation attack that caused a slowdown in the data transmission process”.
“Given
this, protocols I, II and III were activated by the CNE to reach
80% of the total until an irreversible result was obtained and that is where the results
are delivered. The CNE did everything to respond to the people as
soon as possible,” he said.
For Ñáñez, the extreme opposition intended to “silence the CNE for 15 days and then come out to give the supposed results through its fraudulent page and then stage violence in the streets, but they did not succeed because the CNE acted quickly”.
