Minister of Science and Technology defines lines of work for the year 2026

Regarding the beginning of the administrative activities of the year, the Sectorial Vice President of Science, Technology, Ecosocialism and Health, Gabriela Jiménez, led the first meeting of the Board of Directors of the Ministry of People's Power for Science and Technology.

“At this meeting, we evaluated the damage caused last January 3rd, as a result of the criminal bombing carried out by US imperialism. In addition, we strongly reject the kidnapping of President Nicolás Maduro, and of the First Combatant, Dr. Cilia Flores.

In 2026, we will continue to promote the National Plan for Science, Technology and Innovation, strengthening our responsibilities to accompany science, a science for peace, for building a country, for the generation of well-being.

We are a people that produces its own science, a people that cannot be dominated.

In the same way, the entire National Science and Technology System expresses its absolute support to the President in Charge, Delcy Rodríguez, who guarantees the continuity of the policies promoted by the Head of State, aimed at strengthening scientific and technological progress at the service of the integral development of the Nation.

Looking ahead to the year 2026, we will redouble our efforts to strengthen the programs, plans and projects that are being developed throughout the country, as an expression of the talent, creativity and capacity of our scientists.

We also celebrate the return to school of millions of girls, boys and young people across the country, ensuring educational and educational continuity for the future. Going to school is a way to heal, to connect to the positive and to growth.
