The Minister of Popular Power for Transportation, Ramón Velásquez Araguayán, reported that the CONVIASA website and the Metro charging system were attacked by hacktivists Anonymous.

Through his account on the social network Instagram, the minister said: “We once again denounce that we have been the target of attacks by the hacktivist collective Anonymous, against the web portal of our flag airline @laconviasa, which we have managed to neutralize with our technical teams.”

“In the same way, against the Ticket Collection System in @cametrodecaracas, Valencia, Los Teques, Maracaibo, IFE and Metrobús, which caused a collapse in the service. However, we have acted to protect all the information, as a guarantee for our users and to restore card recharging,” he said.

Araguayan reiterated that Venezuela will rise and emerge victorious in the face of a cyberwar driven by imperialism.
