Minister Padrino López: The FANB will preserve peace and the victory of the Fatherland on May 25

This Tuesday, May 19, the Minister of People's Power for Defense, G/J Vladimir Padrino López, assured that “we are on the verge of a great democratic event. Next Sunday, our task will be to preserve, conserve and guard the electoral material, to guarantee the peace of the Republic.”

In this context, through his social network Instagram, he reiterated the commitment of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) to the stability of the country and its role in Operation Republic during election day.

“Venezuela will find a new space for peace, stability and democracy, and there the FANB will be present to fulfill its mission,” he emphasized.

Padrino said that the military personnel will ensure the proper conduct of the elections and thus ensure a transparent legal process.

“I fully trust you. On Monday, May 26, we will be in a phase of retreat, shouting victory for the Fatherland, victory for our democracy, victory for the FANB in its Operation Republic,” he said.

The Republic Plan, activated in each electoral process, aims to protect electoral material, guarantee voter safety and maintain public order throughout the national territory. The FANB, with its various units deployed, will carry out this task without setbacks.

In addition, the minister also mentioned that this Tuesday, the 19th, in the morning hours, “I had the opportunity to address the entire Territorial Defensive System to report on strategic adjustments in the face of new national and international threats and to refine the details for the Republic Plan for the next #25may elections”.

“There is no rest in our work for peace!” , he ruled.
